Escape to an authentic Finnish cabin experience at Taskumökki, a unique 1970s log cabin by Lake Mustajärvi, surrounded by pine and birch trees.

Combining retro charm with Finnish design details, it is the perfect space for slowing down and spending time in nature. Enjoy lake adventures by rowing boat, swimming, fishing, and foraging for mushrooms and berries, or simply relax in the sauna, read on the terrace, enjoy BBQ evenings, and take in the peaceful forest views.

Taskumökki comfortably accommodates 1-4 guests. The sleeping area includes cosy adult bunk beds with memory-foam mattresses, high-quality pillows and Familon bedding, while two additional guests can sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.

The vintage-style kitchen is fully equipped for preparing cabin meals, and the setup includes a tabletop dishwasher. Drinking water is available from the cabin’s own well, and bedding, towels, and sauna towels are always included. There is no extra cleaning fee.

The cabin has cold running water only (no hot running water) and a rustic but comfortable outhouse with a modern, odourless compost toilet.

Compact electric stove and oven, gas BBQ grill, fridge with a freezer compartment, tabletop dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and French press, air fryer, toaster and kettle, cooking utensils, cutting boards and knives, mixing bowls and measuring cups, plates, bowls and mugs, glasses for water, wine, cocktails and more, cutlery and serving utensils, dish towels and cloths, and cocktail essentials.

Important to you for your authentic Finnish cottage experience at Taskumökki

Not recommended for seniors or guests with limited mobility, as the forest paths to the sauna and lake are steep in some places.
The cabin is not completely secluded; there are neighbouring cabins nearby, with a pier near the swimming spot by the sauna.
The green sofa bed shown in some photos is currently not at the cabin. A different sofa bed with a mattress topper is available instead. Photos will be updated accordingly.
